At DelhiCakes.com, we take great pride in delivering fresh cakes, beautiful flowers, and premium chocolates that bring smiles to every occasion. We understand that plans can change, and we have crafted this policy to be as fair and transparent as possible. Please read it carefully before placing your order.

Cakes

Since all our cakes are freshly baked to order, cancellations are time-sensitive:

For custom and tiered cakes, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance as these require significant preparation time and sourcing of ingredients.

Flowers

Flowers are sourced fresh daily, making last-minute cancellations difficult to accommodate:

To cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible through any of the following:

Please have your Order ID ready when you reach out. Cancellation requests are processed only during our support hours — every day, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

Eligible Refund Scenarios

We offer refunds or replacements in the following situations:

  • The order was cancelled within the eligible cancellation window (as outlined above).
  • The product delivered was significantly different from what was ordered.
  • The product arrived in a damaged or spoiled condition due to our handling or packaging.
  • The order was not delivered due to an error on our part.

Non-Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Dissatisfaction with taste or flavour, as these are subjective preferences.
  • Minor variations in cake design, decoration, or flower arrangement — handcrafted products may differ slightly from photos.
  • Damage caused after delivery due to improper storage or handling by the recipient.
  • Incorrect delivery address or contact details provided by the customer.
  • Recipient unavailability at the time of delivery leading to product spoilage.
  • Orders cancelled outside the eligible cancellation window.

If you receive a damaged, incorrect, or unsatisfactory order, here is what to do:

  1. Take clear photographs of the product immediately upon receipt.
  2. Contact us within 2 hours of delivery via WhatsApp or email with your Order ID and photos.
  3. Our team will review your complaint and respond within 24 hours.

Complaints raised after 2 hours of delivery may not be eligible for a refund or replacement, as perishable products like cakes and flowers deteriorate quickly.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We are unable to transfer refunds to a different account or payment method.

In cases where a refund is not applicable but the issue is genuine — such as a slightly damaged cake or wilted flowers — we may offer a free replacement delivery at our discretion, subject to availability and delivery feasibility on the same day.

Need to change your delivery date, time slot, address, or personalisation details? We’re happy to help, provided the request is made:

  • At least 24 hours before delivery for cakes and flowers.
  • At least 12 hours before delivery for chocolates and hampers.

Modifications requested after these windows may not be possible. Please contact us as early as possible to avoid any inconvenience.

During high-demand periods such as Valentine’s Day, Diwali, Christmas, Holi, and Mother’s Day, cancellation and modification windows may be shorter due to advance preparation. Any specific peak-season policies will be communicated clearly at the time of ordering.

DelhiCakes.com shall not be held responsible for delays or failures in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, civil disturbances, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule your order or offer store credit.
